ASSOCIATION OF AUTHENTIC AMISH
There is no trademark or copyright for the use of the name “Amish”.
Consequently, many people advertise as if their products were “Amish Made” or
“Amish Quality” and use the name indiscriminately and in actuality may have little or no
affiliation to “real”
or “authentic” Amish businesses at all.
The designation “Amish” can be ruthlessly abused by unscrupulous people, and often is.
The Association of Authentic Amish has been formed to help solve this growing problem.
Many of our members use the copyrighted seal shown here in their advertising, on their labeling
and stamped on their products so that potential customers may be assured the
business is certified authentically Amish.
Consumers should look for this seal when buying Amish Products.
In addition this website is designed to allow concerned buyers to visit and view a directory of the businesses which have been certified by the association as authentic Amish enterprises. If you do not find a specific business about which you have an interest, please contact us. We may be able to advise you regarding the business.
The benefits of the association are for members and their customers and the general public.
The business is either “Certified” authentic or it is not, and the customers should have the ability to determine that for themselves.
Not all authentic Amish businesses are listed here, but the public can be
assured that these businesses are certified in good standing with the Association and confirmed as authentic.
We do not endorse any product or service or any one product or service over another.
We simply certify that the businesses listed here are Amish enterprises.
